What you will do

If you have a passion for designing scalable and resilient software architectures, our Software Architect position is the perfect fit for you. You will play a crucial role in defining the overall system structure, making strategic technology choices, and ensuring our solutions are built to withstand the demands of a rapidly evolving digital landscape.   You will need to engage the various stakeholders including target customers, understand their requirements (both technical and non-technical) and translate them into technical solutions for the development and cross functional teams. Candidate is expected to be a good leader and communicator, a good problem solver to address technical challenges and resolve complex issues.  You will be assisting the CTO in creating comprehensive solutions and guiding a team of software engineers. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to determine software requirements.
  • Creating high-level product specifications and design documents.
  • Providing the development team with architectural blueprints to follow.
  • Guiding and assisting the development team throughout the process.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design.
  • Ensuring that you and the team adhere to development schedules and deadlines.
  • Presenting regular progress reports and setting goals.
  • Testing the final product to ensure it is completely functional and meets requirements.
  • Updating software solutions as required.
  • Documenting and sharing best practice knowledge for new solutions
  • Perform design, debugging, and performance analysis on solutions.
Skills and Competencies
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or computer science.
  • Extensive experience in software development and project management.
  • Solid understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, system security, database management, and web platforms.
  • Above-average understanding of business operations.
  • Awareness of and the ability to use a wide variety of software solutions.
  • Project management and teamwork skills.
  • Familiar with project management and agile approaches
  • Familiar with Federal security standards and frameworks
  • Experience with cloud technologies and platforms, such as AWS, Asure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong expertise in software architecture design and principles, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Extensive knowledge of software design patterns, data modelling, and database design principles.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with Indexing/Search Technologies and web-based, object-oriented, data management, and scripting languages
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated software development experience working with Open Source

What you will do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, be responsible for analysing processes and data, conduct in-depth research, gather, and document requirements, perform feasibility studies, provide valuable insights to shape project scope and priorities.   Your analytical mindset and business acumen will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for optimization, mitigating risks, and driving innovation throughout the project life cycle.   You will also be responsible for developing and implementing product strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the development of new products and services.   You will work closely with development teams to translate complex requirements into intuitive interfaces that will deliver exceptional user experience. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, customer needs, and market opportunities to identify product development opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements, including feature sets, user experience, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and marketing, to develop and launch new products on time and within budget.
  • Conduct user research to gain insights into user behavior and preferences and use this information to inform product design decisions.
  • Work with Product Specialist to develop and maintain product roadmaps and release plans, ensuring that product development aligns with business objectives and priorities.
  • Monitor product performance and customer feedback, making data-driven decisions to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with project managers to ensure that product development is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including user guides, product specifications, and release notes.
Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in business IT, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, product management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience analyzing data to drive business decisions.
  • Experience working in agile product development environment.
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
